Lisa Hayden, Chief Compliance Officer & Vice President of Global Reimbursement

Ms. Hayden has more than 25 years of experience in the health care industry and in her role at Galil has developed the reimbursement program from the ground up. Her global responsibilities include all aspects of strategic and tactical reimbursement initiatives for Galil Medical. Ms. Hayden participates in reimbursement policy initiatives related to Medicare and Commercial insurance coverage and payment and has a long history of obtaining coverage from major private payers.

Ms. Hayden spent nearly twenty years working in the health care arena. Prior to joining Galil, she worked for the INOVA Health System in Northern Virginia in a variety of positions. Additionally, she was the Administrative Director of Radiology at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD. She also worked for ten years at Georgetown University Medical Center in the Interventional Radiology lab and as the Director of Imaging and Faculty Physician Practice Plan. Ms. Hayden holds a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences from Johns Hopkins and is a Registered Radiologic Technologist.

 

Andy Swanson, Vice President, US Sales

Mr. Swanson has nearly 25 years of experience in the medical distribution and medical device field. Prior to joining Galil in 2003, he served in multiple management positions including, surgery sales program manager and product manager for UroMed, a medical device start up and branch manager and regional advisor for Physician Sales and Service (PSS), a global medical distribution company.

During his tenure at Galil Medical and before being promoted to VP, US Sales in August 2009, Mr. Swanson served as Director of Corporate Accounts, Regional Sales Director, and Cryotherapy Specialist for the organization. Mr. Swanson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a double minor in business from Auburn University.

 

Trevor Minnie, Vice President, International Sales & Marketing

Trevor Minnie has enjoyed more than 25 years of experience in the medical device industry. During that time he has served in increasingly responsible management positions: from sales and country general management to most recently Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing. His experience has been gained in the international and US markets with several market leading corporations, such as Johnson & Johnson (Ethicon), Bristol-Myers Squibb (Convatec), Hollister Incorporated, AMS and US Endoscopy and has covered the areas of strategic sales & marketing, international market development, country general management and leadership of US sales & marketing.

In addition to his experience in larger corporations, Trevor has also been involved in a successful start-up. He holds a Marketing Degree from the Institute of Marketing Management / Graduate School of Marketing in South Africa.

 

Uri Arbel, Vice President Yokneam Operation

Mr. Arbel joined Galil Medical in 2008 as Production Manager.  During his tenure at Galil Medical and before being promoted to Vice President Yokneam Operations in January 2014, Mr. Arbel served as Production Manager, Manufacturing Director and Core Technologies R&D & Engineering Director.

Prior to joining Galil Medical in 2008, Mr. Arbel held a project management position over a period of 3 years in the field of military communication systems.

Mr. Arbel holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA, from Haifa University, Israel Institute of Technology.

 

Vineel Vallapureddy, Vice President Global Research & Development

Mr. Vallapureddy joined Galil Medical in 2009 as R&D Director – Systems.  Mr. Vallapureddy brings over 15 years of product development experience to Galil Medical.

Mr. Vallapureddy has a proven track record of bringing new products to market in both implantable and external device markets at small and large companies. He lead Research, Product Development and Field Clinical Engineering organizations in the past. Prior to joining Galil in 2009, he worked as the Director of Product Development and Field Clinical Engineering at EnteroMedics.

Mr. Vallapureddy holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and holds multiple patents.

 

Maria Plentl, MSN, Vice President, Global Clinical Research

Maria Plentl joined Galil Medical in 2008 as Director, Clinical Research. With over 15 years of experience in clinical research for medical device companies, her experience has been focused specifically in various ablation modalities for minimally invasive therapies. She has served as President, Carolina Clinical Consultants, Inc., Director of Clinical Research with Carolina Women’s Research and Wellness Center, and Sr. Vice President of Clinical Operations with Microsulis Medical, Limited. Ms. Plentl has proven experience with FDA collaborations, clinical trial planning and management, pre-market approvals, and development and implementation of physician training programs.

Ms. Plentl holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. While employed in the medical device industry, she has continued to practice as a licensed Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, certified through the National Certification Corporation.

 

Amy McKinney, Vice President, Global Regulatory Affairs & Quality

Amy McKinney joined Galil Medical in 2010 as Director, Regulatory Affairs. Since beginning her career in regulatory affairs in 1996, she has worked in the regulatory affairs departments of Intermedics, Guidant, Merit Medical, and also for various clients as an independent consultant.

Ms. McKinney’s experience has focused on worldwide regulatory affairs and regulatory / quality compliance activities. She has a proven track record for working with regulators and obtaining regulatory approvals for Class II and III medical devices.

Ms. McKinney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Engineering from Mississippi State University and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Joint Program in Biomedical Engineering at University of Texas – Arlington and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She also holds a Regulatory Affairs Certification in US Regulatory Affairs from the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS) of which she is a member.
