Tracking Renal Tumors After Cryoablation Evaluation (TRACE)

Galil Medical has launched TRACE, a multi-center registry (data collection study) of patients who have undergone renal cryoablation per their physician's standard of care. Patients 18 years of age or older who have been determined to be an appropriate candidate for cryoablation will be offered enrollment into the registry.

  • Approximately 250 patients are initially expected to enroll among 10 registry sites and will be treated and followed per their physician’s standard of care
  • The registry will collect data on patients for five years from the date of their cryoablation procedure
  • Data will assess the outcomes associated with the various procedural techniques (laparoscopic, open and  percutaneous)
  • Data obtained will be used in conjunction with data from randomized studies to evaluate the use, safety, and effectiveness of cryotherapy for renal lesions
  • The registry will be used to evaluate short- and long-term surveillance of patients undergoing renal lesion cryoablation (e.g. disease recurrence or progression, disease specific survival, and overall survival)
  • The registry may be used as a continuous quality improvement tool on behalf of practicing physicians and will contribute to the development and refinement of standards of care for renal lesion cryoablation
